Show the number of the bus serving each live departure on stop cards, so you can match the row to the bus you can see.
On the bus card, list the stops the selected bus will reach next, with time estimates computed from live bus positions.
In the trip planner, suggest a live transfer near the trip start, ranked by walk time plus wait from live bus positions.
Routes with no live buses reporting are dimmed or hidden automatically. DDOT schedule data is current through Feb 7, 2027 — this page shows live bus positions; the trip planner uses scheduled times.
Starbucks and Planet Fitness points of interest from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL), within the map’s street boundary. Flat discs colored by brand carry letter badges at close zoom — S for Starbucks, PF for Planet Fitness. Community map data may not list every point of interest; licensed counters inside other stores are the likeliest gaps. Sponsored — the Starbucks and Planet Fitness layers are partnership placements.
No live feed exists for the People Mover — stations and the downtown loop are schedule geometry from the agency’s GTFS. Positions are real; no vehicles are shown.
Live availability from MoGo’s public GBFS feed, refreshed every minute. Marker height and color show bikes available; a ring means an e-assist bike is available; counts appear at close zoom. Short, grey markers are stations whose feed reports are stale — their counts may be out of date.
Dart passes are sold by DDOT and SMART through their apps and stores. Live Transit does not sell passes.

About this map
Real routes, real buses.
Route shapes and stop positions come from the agencies’ published GTFS schedule data; the bus markers are live vehicle positions from the agencies’ own feeds, published about every five minutes. Zoom in close and the markers resolve into true-scale bus models — each DDOT bus is matched to its fleet model (dimensions and seating from the DDOT fleet roster) and oriented to its reported heading. It is the same live layer that powered the retired Forge Line page’s bus count — the Forge Line concept itself was modeled on the transit Detroit already runs.
Route shapes & stops: DDOT, SMART, and QLINE GTFS. Bus dimensions & seating: DDOT fleet roster via CPTDB wiki. Street underlay: U.S. Census Bureau TIGER/Line 2025 (Wayne, Oakland & Macomb counties). Live data: DDOT via Clever Devices BusTime; SMART via Swiftly GTFS-Realtime; QLINE via its public GTFS-RT feed. Developers: see the transit data API.
