TSA Gateside Program at Detroit Metro Airport Allows TSA PreCheck Members to Request Terminal Access Without a Boarding Pass

• The TSA announced in September that it was launching its Gateside program at Detroit Metro Airport, according to the report.
• The program allows people who have TSA PreCheck to request daily access to one of the terminals without a boarding pass; it is only available to TSA PreCheck members, according to the report.
• Applicants apply online 1 to 3 days before a visit, must show a REAL ID or other acceptable identification at the checkpoint, and are subject to TSA security screening, according to the report.
• Gateside passes are issued for free, are valid for one calendar day, and re-entry is not allowed on that date once a participant exits, according to the report.
